How to Route Calls to a Desktop App User

Desktop Users are users or admins who receive incoming Talkroute calls through the Talkroute desktop application. Desktop App Users can be added directly to virtual phone numbers, call menu options, or multi-digit extensions to receive incoming calls.

The Desktop App can be downloaded from talkroute.com/downloads.

 

Adding a Desktop User to a Virtual Phone Number, Menu Option, or Extension


  1. Log in to the Talkroute control panel and navigate to the Manager section.

     

     

  2. Locate the Virtual Phone Number, Call Menu Option, or Extension you want to add the Desktop App User to and click Edit.

  3. Make sure Choose where to route incoming calls is set to Go to Users & Numbers.

  4. Choose a Ring in Sequence or Ring All configuration under Forwarding Settings, then click the green "+" icon.

  5. Select the Desktop Users tab, then click the green "+" icon next to the user you wish to add.

  6. The user will appear under Active Numbers & Users. Click Save.

  7. Verify the desktop user has been added and click Save & Close.
