Can I keep or use my existing phone number?

Yes! Talkroute provides two options for using an existing phone number with your account:

  1. Call Forwarding from Your Existing Provider
    You can forward your current number to a Talkroute number by contacting your existing service provider. This lets callers who dial your existing number reach your Talkroute system while you continue to use the number on your original device. This option is ideal if you want to keep the number active with your current carrier and still benefit from Talkroute’s call handling features.

  2. Porting Your Number to Talkroute
    You can submit a number port request through your Talkroute account if you'd prefer to move the number into the Talkroute platform. This process transfers the number away from your current provider so it can be managed directly within your Talkroute account. After porting, if you were using the number on a separate device or plan, you may need to request a new number from that provider for continued service on that device.
