Yes, Talkroute can be HIPAA compliant with a few exceptions for some of our features:
Text Messaging: Our text messaging feature may only be used to send SMS messages that do not contain PHI (Protected Health Information). To learn more about SMS and PHI, click here.
Voicemail-to-Email: Our voicemail-to-email feature is not encrypted and would need to be disabled for the account to be HIPAA compliant. You can still get email notifications for new messages, but this would not contain the voicemail message transcription or audio file attachment.
If you need a signed SLA (Service Level Agreement) or BAA (Business Associate Agreement) for your business, this can only be done with our Enterprise plan at this time.
