There are a few ways to identify when a call is coming through your Talkroute system:
- Call Announce: When enabled, you'll hear "You have an incoming call from your Talkroute number. Press 1 to accept, or 2 to reject" before the call connects. This is enabled by default on all forwarding phone numbers.
- Incoming Caller ID: By default, Talkroute displays your virtual phone number on incoming calls, making it easy to identify business calls. You can change this to show the caller's phone number instead, but if you do, there won't be a clear indication before answering that the call came through Talkroute.
- Custom Ringtone: You can assign a specific ringtone to your Talkroute number so incoming business calls sound different from personal calls.
- Desktop or Web App: Calls answered through the Talkroute desktop or web app are clearly identified within the application interface.
For more information, see How to Change the Incoming Caller ID or How to Add a Custom Ringtone to Incoming Talkroute Calls.
