Yes, in most cases you can forward an existing phone number to Talkroute. Contact the service provider currently hosting your number and request a call forward to your Talkroute phone number.
Note: If you forward an external number to Talkroute, that same number should not be added as a forwarding destination within your Talkroute account. This can create a forwarding loop and may prevent calls from connecting properly.
