How to Ring Your Phones in Sequential Order

Ring in Sequence is a ring strategy that rings your forwarding phone numbers one at a time in a specific order. You can customize the ring time for each phone and set how many times to repeat the sequence before sending the call to voicemail, a call menu, or disconnecting.

 

Note: Ring strategy settings are currently only available in the control panel.

 

How to Set Up Ring in Sequence

  1. Log in to your Talkroute account and navigate to the Manager section.

     

     

  2. Locate the Virtual Phone Number, Call Menu Option, or Extension you want to configure and select Edit.

     

     

  3. Under Forwarding Settings, select Ring in Sequence.

     

     

  4. Drag and drop your forwarding phone numbers into the order you want them to ring.

     

     

  5. Adjust the ring time for each forwarding phone number to set how many seconds it rings before moving to the next number in the sequence.

     

     

  6. Adjust how many times you want Talkroute to repeat the sequence before sending the call to the end destination.

     

     

  7. Click Save & Close.

     

     

Tip: If you set a ring time longer than 30 seconds, you may need to increase the ring time on your forwarding device to prevent its voicemail from answering before Talkroute moves to the next number.
