Desktop Application Not Working After Reinstalling

If you are having issues with the Talkroute Desktop Application not working correctly after a  reinstall or major update, there may be Talkroute temporary files on your computer causing a conflict. Uninstalling the app, Removing these files, and reinstalling the application will typically resolve these uncommon issues. Please see the following instructions for how to do this in both Windows and Mac OS.

Windows:

1. Uninstall the Talkroute Desktop Application (This is done from the Add or Remove Programs area under your Windows Settings)

2. Press the Windows key and "R" key on your keyboard at the same time. Once you do this, you should see a pop-up on the screen like in the image below. You will then need to copy and paste the file address below into the bar and click OK or press Enter on your keyboard to open the file location:

C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Roaming

3. A windows explorer window will appear showing the contents of your app data roaming folder. Find the Talkroute folder, right-click on the Talkroute folder, and select delete.

 

4. Download the latest version of the Talkroute Desktop application and install it using this link here: Download Desktop App

Mac:

1. Uninstall the Talkroute Desktop Application (This can be done by opening Finder, navigating to Applications, and dragging the Talkroute icon to the trash bin)

2. While still in Finder, select "Go" at the top menu, then choose "Go to Folder". Alternatively, you can press the Shift, Command, and "G" keys on your keyboard at the same time.

3. You will then need to copy and paste the file address below into the bar and click "Go" or press Enter on your keyboard to open the file location:

~/Library/application support

 

4. Find the Talkroute folder, right-click on the Talkroute folder, and select "Move to Trash".

5. Download the latest version of the Talkroute Desktop application and install it using this link here: Download Desktop App
