Why is the Mac Desktop App Not Detecting My Microphone?

The Talkroute desktop app requests microphone access when you first log in. If this prompt was declined, the app won't be able to detect your microphone for calls.

 

How to Enable Microphone Access on macOS

  1. Open System Settings (or System Preferences on older macOS versions).

     

     

  2. Select Privacy & Security, then click Microphone from the list.

     

     

  3. Find Talkroute in the list and make sure it is enabled.

     

     

     

  4. Restart the Talkroute desktop app for the changes to take effect.

     

     

Note: On older versions of macOS, you may need to click the lock icon at the bottom left of the Privacy window to make changes.
