How to Disable Text Messaging

Once text messaging is enabled for a virtual phone number, it cannot be fully disabled through the control panel. However, you can effectively stop text messaging activity by removing user access and turning off email notifications.

Note: Incoming text messages will still be received by the number, but no one will be able to view or respond to them unless an admin re-enables user permissions. If you need to completely disable text messaging for a number, please contact support.
