In order to protect consumers from spam messages, the telecommunications industry has put in place a new regulation that requires additional verification for toll-free phone numbers before sending text messages. This is a measure that is industry-wide and affects all that are using toll-free numbers.
If you have existing toll-free numbers, we recommend going through the verification process. Otherwise, you might experience service disruptions with texting on your toll-free number. Some carriers will block incoming messages from unverified toll-free numbers. New customers who are porting a toll-free number or who order a new toll-free number should complete verification as part of the text activation process. The verification process is free of charge.
