Will I experience interrupted service while porting?

Generally, no. During the porting process, your phone number remains active with your current provider until the transfer is complete. Once the port finalizes, the number will become active within your Talkroute account and your previous provider will release it.

While most number ports are smooth, the timing and coordination are handled by the carriers involved, so occasional delays or brief disruptions can occur. We recommend keeping your current service active until porting is confirmed as complete.
